How I work and what this means for you

Who I Support

I work with individuals who have carried a lot silently and are looking for a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and their voice.

This might include individuals who are:

  • Finding balance between caring for others and caring for themselves

  • Navigating life transitions or periods of change

  • Processing childhood or intergenerational trauma, identity-related stressors, or cultural pressures

  • Managing anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, burnout, or compassion fatigue

  • Reconnecting with their voice after feeling silenced or disconnected in relationships

The clients I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, seeking a safe, supportive space to process challenges, reflect, and build a clearer sense of themselves.

How I Work

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own. My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, drawing from relational, somatic, and other therapeutic perspectives. I aim to create a safe, respectful space where you can explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

In our sessions, we’ll look at patterns, past experiences, and current stressors, and explore how they might be shaping how you feel or relate to others. I offer questions, practical tools, and strategies to help you navigate emotions, set boundaries, and understand yourself more clearly. When words aren’t enough, we might also use creative approaches to connect with feelings in new ways.

Therapy with me is collaborative and guided by what matters most to you. My goal is to support growth, healing, and genuine human connection while helping you build insight and tools that make a difference in your everyday life.

Outside the therapy session.

Part of what grounds me in this work comes from my own story. I was born and raised in The Bahamas and moved to Canada just over ten years ago. I’ve always loved being by the water and grew up with the understanding that you go to the ocean to clear your mind. While I now live in Ontario and am far from the sea, I find myself drawn to the lake whenever I need to reset and reflect.

Outside of therapy, I love live music. There is something powerful about the way it brings people together, with strangers sharing a space and feeling the same thing. That same sense of connection is what I strive to create in the therapy room as well.
