How I work and what this means for you
Coming to therapy can feel like a big step, and it is natural to feel uncertain or overwhelmed. Life can feel especially heavy when you’re juggling multiple roles and trying to meet everyone else’s expectations. Yet there’s something really powerful about taking the time to focus on how you feel and what you truly want. I believe that something meaningful happens when we sit together in the therapy space, right in the middle of life’s messy, beautiful, and sometimes painful moments.
My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. I take a relational and somatic approach, which means I pay attention not only to your thoughts and emotions but also to what your body may be holding. You can expect our sessions to be collaborative and non-judgmental, guided by what matters most to you. There’s space for the tough stuff, but also for laughter, growth, and genuine connection.
I often work with folks healing from trauma, navigating relationship challenges, recovering from narcissistic abuse, or learning how to set boundaries that feel sustainable. Navigating life and relationships can be especially difficult when oppression or trauma are part of your story. I’m here to meet you where you are, with full respect for the unique richness of your culture and experiences that make you, you.
I will tailor my approach to your unique needs, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, art therapy, and solution-focused approaches. When helpful, I integrate practical tools to support regulation, boundary-setting, and fostering a deeper connection with yourself. My intention is to walk alongside you in your healing, helping you feel safe, seen, and empowered as you grow in self-understanding and move toward the life and relationships you’re hoping for.

Part of what grounds me in this work comes from my own story. I was born and raised in The Bahamas and moved to Canada just over ten years ago. I’ve always loved being by the water and grew up with the understanding that you go to the ocean to clear your mind. While I now live in Ontario and am far from the sea, I find myself drawn to the lake whenever I need to reset and reflect.
Outside of therapy, I love live music. There is something powerful about the way it brings people together, with strangers sharing a space and feeling the same thing. That same sense of connection is what I strive to create in the therapy room as well.
